Need to Stay for a Short Time at Trop?

The Deal

Your Short Term contract includes accommodations in a Single, Double or Triple Occupancy Room at Tropicana Gardens Residence Hall, all utilities (including basic cable and internet) and access to all building amenities (including heated pools and fitness center) when open for use. 

The Rate

Short Term contract rates are $40.00 per night for Triple occupancy, $60.00 per night for Double occupancy and $90 per night for single occupancy with a 7-night minimum. If you stay less than 30 days, a 12% occupancy tax will be charged. If you stay 30 days or longer, you will receive a 5% discount. If you stay 60 days or longer, you will receive a 15% discount.

A $350.00 security deposit is required of which $50.00 is applied towards cleaning after your stay and $300.00 is refundable.

A Tropicana Student Organization fee is required at the rate of $1.00 per day.  This money will be used to plan activities and programs for all to enjoy during your stay.

Unlimited meals can be added for an additional $20/day or a punch card can be purchased for $10/meal



Tropicana Gardens suites are apartments without kitchens, however you can purchase a meal plan or café punch cards to enjoy our on-site café. Residents can purchase meals by either selecting the unlimited meal plan for $20.00 per day, or by purchasing a 10-meal punch card for $100.00 or a 20-meal punch card for $195.00. You can also pay as you go. Meals are not a required purchase for a Short Terms housing contract.

3. Review and sign the contract and select the occupancy type and dates for your stay

4. Choose meals now or you can decide later

5. Make your payment

The Leasing Department will review your registration and once everything is complete will send you a reservation confirmation.  Please note, your reservation is not considered complete and your space will not be reserved until full payment has been received.
